Problem Seeking: elo

For this project, we were expected to use our design knowledge and creative skills to deliver useful new products and ideas to people who are often ignored. The audience, problem, and a modifier were chosen at random, and it was our duty, to research, identify, and develop solutions for our target personas. We explored the failings and shortcomings of an experience.

We were assigned to make a safe road trip app for climate change advocates with the modifier of quirky.

Survey Results

From our survey of 39 responses we found that over 70% of users were in their 20s, over 60% identified as male, and over 75% lived in the U.S. Almost 80% of users said they travel in a car very frequently and more than 60% felt positive about road trips apps (i.e. Google Maps, Roadtrippers, Gas Buddy, etc.) Over half of participants said they use road trip apps for over 30 minutes at a time. We found that most users wanted to see a GPS as well as food/drinks and gas stations/rest stops.
